As a former AMC employee I have to say it definitely was. I think the drinks are like 7 dollars now where I used to work
No exaggeration, I cannot eat without ETM. As someone recovering from an ED, these videos are a vital piece to my eating experience. They're hilarious and entertaining so it causes me to eat my whole plate and enjoy it without noticing because he and his guests are amazing

Yeah, they have a full kitchen there with a big fridge and freezer, and warming ovens for all the cooking segments yet, they never seem to be able to keep any food from eat the menu cold or warm. Makes no sense.

@@alaenamarie8702prolly bc the people on strike are involved in the movie-making process and while this is an amc-centric video, they want us to know that their intention isnt to support the industry bigwigs that dont care about the little guys. so, even though theyre still putting out this video bc theyre running a business and needed to post this, theyre bleeping the movie names and letting us know it was filmed pre-strike bc they support the strike and arent trying to make it look like the tv and film industry is this perfect place and like cover up the strike n stuff

So unrelated but as a pianist/violinist, I just love the classical music used in Try Guys videos, it just warms my heart every time I hear Vivaldi's Winter (my favorite concerto). Sometimes I start paying more attention to the music instead of the video but I love seeing the classical music representation here. 😂

Oh Keith.... I worked for AMC. The "gormet" popcorn is ordered in bags, pre-popped and literally gets added before they open, and then scooped out each night and put back into the container each day until it "expires" from the label on the bag. That's why it's shape is circular versus irregular like fresh popcorn. It's often stale so be thankful you probably got a relatively fresh batch. The pizza and pretzels are where AMC shines!
The different shapes is actually because of the topping the types of popcorn are intended to carry. Movie theaters use butterfly popcorn is fluffy and takes pour over toppings perfectly, like butter and salt.
The round mushroom popcorn is sturdier and used for handling toppings that are stirred in, like caramel, chocolate, etc... which is why it's used for the "gourmet" popcorn. It also ships better.

Hey, AMC employee here. A little tip for the pretzel bites, try asking for them fried. Idk if all will do it but mine always will, its way better than the normal cooking process...mainly because we will skip the butter spa trip.

Dear production assistants, let me help you for future videos. Get icees and slush type drinks double cupped. It will drastically extend travel time. Ideally a pre-chilled tumbler large enough to slide the cup into.
Also a small cooler with ice will help.
For hot foods they sell food carriers that you can plug into your car outlets to keep stuff hot.
watching the reaction to the pizza, was actually accurate to my experience with most movie theater pizza. the icees, are one of my favorite things during the summer. I'd like to see what they do for subway.

Let me tell you. WORKING at AMC is a NIGHTMARE! They are horrible to their employees. Also they throw away SO much food every single day. They won’t let employees take it home at the end or donate it. They throw away SO MUCH food. Every single day. It “expires” after a number of hours and we are supposed to toss it and pour oil on it so no one can eat it out of the trash.
At the AMC I worked at they would let us take home popcorn and the leftover hot dogs if we wanted at the end of the day so might just be your management. Other than that we normally didn't cook large batches of anything. So ur management prob is just awful imma be real.
Your management is SO TRASH. Pouring oil so no one can eat it out of the trash? There are people out there desperate enough for food to search though a dumpster, and they can’t even have that, that’s awful. I hope whoever came up with that rule is feeling their fair share of karma.
@@MR-ir9im my management was terrible. They also would tell us stuff was corporate policy, but I’m pretty sure it was them. I got 4 dry sockets after getting my wisdom teeth out and was in a TON of pain. Obviously I had to take more time off than I planned to get my wisdom teeth out. They told me if I didn’t come in they’d fire me. I was openly sobbing at the register and they wouldn’t let me go. I quit the next day.
The amc I worked out didn’t care like we took the hot dogs that were left and if we wanted popcorn we could have it but everything else is frozen

yes, the kernels used to make caramel popcorn vs regular popcorn are different varieties of corn. i accidentally discovered this when me and my sister were popping a bag of bulk bought kernels and they came out big, round with no hard centers and we were like ooooh aaaah
I enjoy their mozzarella sticks as well. Chocolate covered raisins are the best candy for the movies by far. Eating them with popcorn is a game changer
Becky is totally right about how hot dogs are cooked! I worked at a Dairy Queen for a long time, and that is exactly how we cooked our hot dogs for a very long time.
